20 No-Brainer Ways to Make Him Feel Special

Shameless flattery. Google-eyed awe. Clichéd compliments. You and I would never fall for such stuff. But

guys do.
So make him feel good with these ego boosters.

1. Be very impressed with his uncanny ability to read maps and figure out shortcuts that shave a full six seconds off his driving time.

2. When you catch someone checking him out, let him know (even if it's another guy).

3. Mastery of power tools is a deep wellspring of male pride. Ask frequently to have things mounted, fixed, planed, hung, adjusted, what have you, and be flabbergasted at how quickly and professionally he gets the job done.

4. Flirt with him in inappropriate places: family dinners, crowded elevators, parent-teacher conferences.

5. Leave the lid up for him (even if it kills you).

6. Lavish him with compliments that are obviously unique to him. Little things, like he has sexy ears, or you love the way he slices an onion.
7. When something's wrong with your car, ask him to take a look under the hood, even if he knows diddly about cars. Afterward, tell him it's running much better. Then drive straight to the mechanic.

8. Make a screen saver out of his most adorable baby picture.

9. Every male has physical features he hates. Convince him that you find his sexy. As in, "Shoulder hair rocks my world" or "Rub me all over with that great big belly of yours."

10. Challenge him to an arm wrestle (unless you can beat him).

11. Compliment his driving. Use words like masterful and in control. (Please note: Do not do this in tandem with a request for him to do all the driving on a particular trip.)
12. Tell him there's something about his favorite athlete that reminds you of him.

13. Act jealous every now and then -- even if you're not.

14. Call him in the middle of the night when you're out of town and tell him you can't sleep without him beside you. (Use sparingly.)

15. Don't overlook the basics. Tell him he's a terrific father. Tell him he's smart. Tell him he's handsome.

16. Compare him (favorably) to your old boyfriends.
17. Rave about his cooking, even if Dinty Moore did all the prep work. Take a small first helping so he can see you go back for seconds.

18. Boast about his latest accomplishment (say, the new sink he installed) to your friends while he's there. Omit unflattering details (faucets reversed, U-joint spritzing water onto linoleum).

19. When you overhear your kids bragging about him to their friends, tell him what they said.

20. Compliment (frequently) his impeccable taste -- in clothing, in films, and in women.

10 Fun New Ways to Meet New Men -- and Feel Good About Yourself
by Sherry Amatenstein

Have your tried-and-true methods for finding potential Mr. Rights become more trying than true lately? Don't give up hope -- and don't head for the convent just yet! Instead, take a deep breath, catch your second wind and check out these novel ways to hook up with hunks. Plus, each of these activities are good for you, so you'll have a win-win situation whether you end up with a man or not. Not bad...

1. VOLUNTEER

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
All that positive energy swirling around makes it easy to strike up a conversation with a fellow (and I do mean fellow)
advertisement

do-gooder.

Why men like to do it:
Now, you have to choose your non-profit carefully. When it comes to meeting men, not all charities are equal (and they certainly don't begin at home, so get out there!) Choose one with elements that men enjoy: outdoors, "manly" work, sports, etc. Habitat for Humanity, for example, may be a great bet.

Why you should do it anyway:
One word -- karma.

2. TAKE UP GOLFING

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
Golfing is definitely where the boys are. Just ask iVillager Missy. "I hated sports but figured if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So I used a free airline ticket to go to a golf resort for a golf lesson and round of golf. My family thought I was insane and looking back I think I was. I must have been the worst golfer in the place! Some men were aggravated, but for the most part they were complete gentlemen and very encouraging. I wish I had a dollar for every guy that asked 'Where were you when I was single?' About three months later I met my future husband and our first dates were on the golf course. It's still something that we can enjoy together, even though my score has not improved much."

Why men like to do it:
As they putt around the course, they're used to networking with their opponent at the same time. In this case, that "networking" could be flirting.

Why you should do it anyway:
Fresh air and exercise never killed anyone, but do watch out for flying golf balls.

3. SIGN UP FOR A BICYCLE TOUR

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
iVillager Brian constantly advises his single women friends, "If you want to meet decent single men, go on a bicycle tour, like one of the rides that are held to benefit multiple sclerosis research. The guys who go to these things are

The guys who go to these things are quite often very physically fit, confident, sociable, nice guys. I took up cycling after being divorced at age 38, and I met more great women, had more good times with them, and had more serious relationships with them than ever in my life. Bike tours -- especially the kind that include a weekend stay somewhere or a post-ride event like a meal -- are safe, unforced places to meet good guys. The rides are always offered in short versions for new cyclists, so there's no worry about whether someone can handle the distances."

Why men like to do it:
To achieve fabulous thigh and calf muscles.

Why you should do it anyway:
To achieve fabulous thigh and calf muscles.

4. ENROLL IN A SELF-IMPROVEMENT WORKSHOP

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
The people taking this course are evolved and sensitive and looking to become even more evolved and sensitive. And there are built-in opportunities for interaction when you are put into groups to participate in exercises.

Why men like to do it:
They can listen to women talk about themselves and learn what makes the other sex tick.

Why you should do it anyway:
Even if you don't hook up with a guy, you'll come away feeling more positive about yourself.

5. JOIN A SUPPORT GROUP

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
This caring environment encourages the sharing of your deepest needs and fears. How better to discover if a guy is attractively insecure or certifiable. A proviso: Although it turned out great for Hugh Grant's childless character (in the movie About a Boy) to join a single parents' support group strictly to pick up women, don't fabricate an addiction as a man-meeting maneuver.

Why men like to do it:
They really need help with their problems.

Why you should do it anyway:
Heck, everybody's got something they need help with -- whether it's dealing with pet loss or overcoming a nasty nicotine habit.

6. DO A CHARITY MARATHON

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
These days nearly every cause hosts a charity walkathon or marathon to raise money. Just because the male singles that participate are fleet-footed, it doesn't mean they're running from love. Plus, when it comes to sporting events that require as much training and organization as a marathon, there are plenty of opportunities to meet your fellow athletes-turned-activists: Find a training buddy and get to know him during the months before the race, mingle at the sign-up meetings hosted by the organizer, invite a mixed group of runners and supporters back to your place for a post-race spaghetti feed, etc.

Why men like to do it:
It offers them the opportunity for exercise and to feel like they're doing something good. Some, of course, participate because they have a personal connection with the cause itself (for example, having lost a relative to breast cancer).

Why you should do it anyway:
There is little that is worthier than the opportunity to raise money for a good cause.

7. HANG OUT AT COFFEE BARS

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
Every city has, in addition to a zillion Starbucks, at least a few cozy coffee bars that encourage patrons to hang out,
read and of course, chat up other java lovers. Just ask iVillager Lisa, who finds that getting caffeinated gives her the courage to make the first move. "It's then easy to start a conversation when you see someone on the next couch reading a book you've just finished. I did this one time and after we finished our coffee, he invited me to continue our conversation over dinner."

Why men like to do it:
It gives them a chance to take a break from worrying about work, money, etc. and unwind with no agenda in sight. Plus, if he sticks to a low-fat latté, he won't have to worry about his waistline the same way a beer-drinking fellow might.

Why you should do it anyway:
You can catch up on your reading, which in turn will make you feel even better about your fabulously intellectual self.

8. CHECK OUT YOUR LOCAL HEALTH STORE

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
You know that the customers here are health minded. Plus, there are usually flyers on the walls advertising upcoming events (e.g., health food cooking classes). iVillager Tina said, "I met my boyfriend Don when he advised me on which brand of soymilk to buy."

Why men like to do it:
Men who go to health food stores are the type who like to take care of themselves, and -- even better -- often like to cook.

Why you should do it anyway:
Soy milk, sister.

9. CHECK OUT CONVENTIONS

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:
Most conventions -- whether they are for Trekkies or mountain climbing trekkers -- attract large crowds. This obviously increases your chances of meeting that ever-elusive critter, the single male.

Why men like to do it:
They're usually mildly fanatical about whatever the convention is showcasing.

Why you should do it anyway:
Maybe you'll learn about a group or activity that will become a part of your life.

10. GO TO A SPORTS BAR ON GAME NIGHT

Why it's a good meet-and-greet activity:

Why watch the World Series at home when you can hang out a sports bar complete with big-screen TV, electronic sports games, lots of nibbles (don't go wild on the drinks) and best of all, your own personal pool of testosterone? During commercials and at tense moments when the game is on the line, you can impress guys with your knowledge of the game. ("He was robbed of that base hit! Totally robbed!")

Why men like to do it:
They're cheering and commiserating with like-minded sports fanatics.

Why you should do it anyway:
Watching a big TV event is always more fun with a group. Even if this group turns out to be a little too beer-can-crashing-on-the-forehead for your taste, just think of the tales you'll have for your girlfriends on your next girls' night out!

NOTE: Underage ppl: please don't follow these instructions and go hang out at the bars

12 Ways To Make Your Love Last

1. A gesture a day: "When my girlfriend and I got together, I told her not a day would pass without her somehow knowing she's on my mind and in my heart. So, I leave her short notes, either at work for her to find when she gets there, or via e-mail every morning reminding her how beautiful she is to me, how much I need, want and love her. It always helps her start her day with a smile." -Southern Gentleman

2. Be yourself: "The best way for a person to be romantic is by being your own self. Don't let others tell you what to do. Come up with something no one would expect. Like ask your girlfriend or boyfriend to make love under the kitchen table. Do something creative. Show who you are." -Kurupted Monk

3. Cherish the moment: "Don't rush lovemaking. Take the time to pay attention to your mate. Not only try to please yourself, but make sure that they are also pleased. During and after, look into each other's eyes. No words are needed. Just looking in each other's eyes at such an intimate time is such an overwhelmingly wonderful feeling!" -Anonymous

4. Discover their interests: "Take one night out and find out each other's needs and rules. These play a big part in relationships. For example -- some people are turned on more visually -- so presenting a flower says much more than saying, 'I love you.' Others like hearing the words more than having something done for them. Still others like to get a feeling - a touch, a hug -- most people like a combination of these. Sit and Discover each other's needs. Take about 3 hours with each other. It could be the most wonderful thing you'll do." -Anonymous

5. Express how you really feel: "Tell them how you really feel about them, that you love them from the inside not just the outside. Say sweet and loving things like: 'Your eyes can make the sun rise,' or 'Your the reason my heart beats,' or 'You look so good, I wish I could grow a whole field of you.'" -Marty Mar

6. Create an after-the-day ritual: "When my boyfriend and I get together the first thing we do is give each other a kiss. We tell each other about our day and share our thoughts about each other. We help each other with any problems we might have, and in the end we are both happy with just being together." -Candy

7. Send letters of love: "Even if you live close to your loved one, even if you are married to him/her, loving letters show that you love him or her. They show that you are willing to expend time showing that person how much you care. They mean even more, of course, when there is a distance to overcome. Write down your deepest, truest, most intimate feelings -- because being vulnerable with your lover shows

that you trust him or her and strengthens bonds between the two of you. A suit of armor is not romantic! Be vulnerable, but be sincere." -Shannon

8. Have love rituals: "It is good to have rituals in your relationship that are unique to you and your love one. For instance, I could order the Sunday paper, but my girlfriend and I have decided that it is a lot more fun to wake up on Sunday morning and enjoy a nice walk down to 7-eleven together. We do this every Sunday and it is so peaceful and relaxing. I gives a chance to talk and laugh. Then we come back and read the sunday funnies and the rest of the paper together." -Todd

9. Open your heart: "Often the greatest way to show your love is by giving someone your trust. Open up and tell your mate something about you that no one else knows. It's a sure fire way to let them know how special they are and how much they mean to you." -Quiana

10. Pay attention: "The best way that I have found to show that you love that person is to pay attention to what they tell you. It's a very easy thing to do, but it is often overshadowed by personal thoughts or wants." -Michael

11. Praise your mate: "Tell them that they are the best. Kiss often and comfort each other by holding each other." -The Gallie

12. Remain playful: "A true token of love, to me, is an ability to share a playful moment together. We as couples usually share work, home life, quiet times and intimate times, but play is the most romantic and connected feeling of all. When I meet that special someone who can fulfill all my desires in a person, my only hope is that we will be able to remain playful throughout our lives!" -Jaxx

Flirting Secret Tips for Men

Know what you want and what is reasonable to expect

If you flirt just to be friendly, you are opening yourself to different opportunities. You may well end up with a new lover but if that doesn't work out you could meet someone who becomes a good friend and who knows who she might introduce you to.

Keep your options open.

Make sure your hair is clean and your body and breath smell good.

You don't have to douse yourself in after-shave, just take care of personal hygiene at the basic level.

Great States are catching

People love being around charismatic people because they seem to spread good feelings. Get yourself into the right state for flirting and go for it.

When you buy a woman a drink, that is all you are buying

Don't expect her to fall at your feet.

Sometimes it is nice just to send someone a drink, watch when they receive it and smile, then look away ' look back again later to show your interest.

Don't try to get a woman drunk! isn't it preferable to have someone like you genuinely not because their senses are obliterated by alcohol.

Don't do the rounds of a group of women

No woman wants to feel like second best. Refrain from approaching one after another in the same group. You look like a loser and the women may think you are desperate any port in a storm Even if you are, don't show it.

Concentrate on the conversation, not on getting a date.

Most women want to know what kind of person they are going out with. Make an effort to get to know her before diving in for a date

Give GENUINE compliments

There's nothing worse than someone giving out a load of overblown lines. Everyone has something great about them, notice that and compliment them genuinely.

Keep your hands to yourself and respect their space

There are some people I call space invaders. Even when engaging in a casual chat they just seem to get too close. Some women have no objection to "touchy feely" encounters, others are horrified by it.

Touching can be a lovely flirty action, but should be confined to the arms or resting the hand just above the arms and NOT touching, until you know more.

Test the personal space by moving closer, noticing the reactions then moving back a little to remove the threat

If you ask for a phone number, be sure you want to use it

Flirting and meeting people is NOT about trophy hunting it is about making new connections and having fun.

If you don't intend to use the number, don't ask. There's nothing worse than giving out a phone number and not having someone call. If you asked for it, use it .

And finally:

Be yourself. It's no point in assuming a role you think someone wants you to play because you'll get found out sooner or later. Be proud of who you are and if you aren't YET sure how you are at your best, you might want to do some work on it. There are plenty of courses and self-help books out there.

10 ways to rekindle romance

Relationship Correspondent

It happens in the best of relationship: What began with an endless parade of roses, chocolate, and five-hour lovemaking sessions eventually turns into dried flowers, a thick waist and quickie sex. The flames of passion seem to be slowly dying out...
True, it does become increasingly difficult to keep the momentum going after several years together, as bills, stress, and children can put your love life on the back burner indefinitely. But the sizzle doesn't have to fizzle once you've settled down for a lifetime of love together.

Re-igniting that old spark is crucial in keeping the Relationship fresh and healthy (i.e. making her feel the way she did when you first met), so here are the top 10 ways to do just that.

Number 10

Plan a surprise date
Throw her off-guard and sweep her off her feet with an unexpected rendezvous. This includes shipping the kids off to the babysitter and transforming the house into a lover's paradise (rose petals and all), or slipping a blindfold on her and taking her to a secret location (a night at the opera, or a small intimate restaurant on the other side of town). Show her that you're still an unpredictable romantic.

Number 9

Reminisce about the beginning
Look at old photos, read old letters, and relive special dates to stir up those feelings and emotions -- including those initial "highs" -- you felt when you first met, which may have simmered down as of late.

Number 8

Redecorate your room
Give your Relationship a fresh start with a fresh coat of paint. That's right; try giving your bedroom a whole new look (out with the old, in with the new) and buy new bed sheets (no Spiderman) and, if you can afford it, new furniture. Making the room more inviting (i.e. romantic) will not only impress the Mrs., it'll give you an incentive to spend more time there, if you know what I mean.

Number 7

Renew your vows
Prove to her that you'd do it all over again by pledging your devotion to one another again (women love romantics). You may want to take it up a notch and repropose (complete with an even better ring, as an added bonus). Write your vows yourself to give it that personal touch from the heart, then get ready for some wedding night fun.

Number 6

Go on a second honeymoon
While you're at it, pack your bags, leave your worries at home, and take that long, overdue trip to some romantic destination (a tropical haven like Hawaii or Fiji will not disappoint). Whether you're revisiting an old destination or heading toward a new romantic getaway, a little R&R may be just what the doctor ordered.

Even if you just don't have the time, you should at least allow yourselves one weekend of uninterrupted bliss. Getting away from the Monday-to-Friday grind is easier when there are no children involved, but don't let that stop you from taking a well-deserved break. Your love life is just as important as your work life.

Number 5

Get kinky in the bedroom
Re-energize your lovemaking sessions by getting a little more risqué in the bedroom. Whether it involves sexy boardgames, costumes, or some titillating manuals, becoming more provocative will put a fresh spin on a partner you've come to know well. Who knows, you may never hear the old "I've got a headache" excuse again.

Number 4

Schedule a monthly date
Allot yourselves some "special time" together once a month (of course, that's a minimum). Make a schedule in advance to greatly improve your odds of spending quality time together without the interference of meetings, soccer games, etc... As a bonus, write it down in her agenda to make it more official, and "reserve" her for the day/evening.

Number 3

Take a class together
Find yourselves a new hobby, a chance for the two of you to spend time together in a new environment. You can try a painting, dancing, or even cooking class, just as long as there is interaction, contact, and the opportunity to teach each other.

Number 2

Spend time apart
Strange but true; one of the best ways to nurture a Relationship is by giving each other some alone time. After several years, your personal lives often become one, and so doing things on your own will not only make you appreciate seeing each other, it will give you new material to talk about as you tell each other what you've been up to. Remember that absence does make the heart grow fonder.

Number 1

Plan your future together
Start mapping out how you plan to spend the rest of your lives together, whether it involves having children or seeing the world. She may be impressed by the fact that you are taking initiative and fully dedicated to the Relationship, which will surely translate into an increase in romantic vibes.

keep the passion alive

Don't let time put out the fire that burned when you first met. Reach back into the old days and pick out all the things that made the romance quirky and fun, from being more unpredictable and keeping her on her toes to becoming more active in each other's lives.

Try taking notes from Cliff and Claire, Homer and Marge, even Ozzy and Sharon: They rarely go to bed angry, are spontaneous and upbeat, are never afraid to tell each other how much they love each other, and they keep the communication lines up and running. There's something to be said for modeling your romance after a TV sitcom couple.

Going back to the old days will not only teach the two of you to love all over again, it will remind you why you got together in the first place.

How to be noticed ...

May be this is why !

Always carry a smile!
People are typically attracted to others that make them feel good about themselves, or life in general. A smile is an excellent icebreaker, and when given to people you'd like to talk to, it brings you one step closer to "first contact."

Make eye contact with people.
Eye contact can be a very powerful unspoken communication. Poets and lovers alike seem to always tell about these unforgettable moments where all that happened was a captured moment of eye contact between two people. If you use this tool properly, you can create a sense of allure, mystery and desirability.

Take the time to really look great!
No matter how politically correct it is, the person who took the time to look great, will usually get the most attention. Use this to your advantage and wear flattering clothes, colors and hair styles.

Use your sense of humor.
Ask someone what the one thing they love about their partner is and you'll get answers like: their personality and sense of humor. Laughter makes people forget about their cares. If you can do that, you'll not only stand out, but you'll leave a lasting impression.

Actively participate in your surroundings.
If you're at a party, do the things you'd expect to see someone do at a party. Dance, mingle, chat with people. If you're at a meeting or class, actively participate. It may sound simple, but it gets people to notice you and possibly be interested in learning more about you.

Some Really Sweet ...

GIRL:

If you see me walking the road with someone else; It's not because I like his company--It's because you're not brave enough to walk beside me....

If you hear me talking about him all the time; It's not because he pleases me--It's because you're too deaf to hear my heartbeat...

If you feel me falling for someone new; It's not because I love him--It's because you're not there to catch me fall...

If you feel lost, I am too...
I am nowhere too...
I don't know where this road is going...
Are we going to cross each other's path or just completely turn around?
Will we just let go of what we had or go to the place where love is bound?

I don't want to walk with him, or talk or fall in love with him.... because it's you I want to walk, talk and fall in love with....

BOY:

When you thought I wasn't brave enough to walk beside you; I was behind you every step of the way--Still filled with awe because of the beauty that stands before me...

When you thought I was too deaf to hear your heartbeat; I didn't want to assume anything and I was afraid to lose our friendship...

When you thought I wasn't there to catch you; It was because you never gave me the chance, you've never reached the bottom--You've already grabbed a branch...

If you feel you are nowhere, I, too, am lost...
I, too, don't know where this road is going...
Are we just going to turn around or are we going to cross each other's path?
Will we just let go of what we had or go to the place where love is bound?

Don't let me walk alone, I want to walk by your side...
It's you I want to talk with...
Don't let me fall for someone else because it's you I want to fall in love with!

Idea Topic: Cheap Date Ideas

A Message In A Bottle Surprise
I bought a decorative small colorful bottle with a cork. Wrote a nice love letter on a piece of paper with burnt corners. Rolled the paper, put it in the bottle, inserted the cork and threw it into a bath, full of water, essential oils and bubbles. My darling was surprised not only by the bath, prepared for him, but also for a letter. -submitted by Yanika

Ashtray Dates
When my husband and I were newly married and trying to save for a house, we would save all of our change from other store purchases in the ashtray of our car. As we needed some time together, we'd count how much was in the ashtray and go where we could on the money. There were times we only had enough money to buy Frostys at Wendy's, and other times we went to the dollar-movie. But, it was fun never knowing before we got in the car what we were going to do next! -submitted by Pescado B.

Cake Decorating Fun
Find out what kind of cake your sweetie likes, and then start baking it before he comes over. When he arrives take him to the kitchen where he should find lots of fun frosting and decorating things. We all know that it is fun to decorated cakes no matter if you’re a guy or a girl. Once you’re done, you can have dinner, and then feed each other cake for dessert, it will be a blast! -submitted by Anonymous

Candlelit "Love Nest"
My fianc頡nd I love candles. Every once in a while, we put our feather bed on the living room floor and pile all of our comforters and thick blankets on top of it to make it really soft. We will light a bunch of candles all around the room and turn off all the lights in the house. Then we take turns massaging each other while watching a movie, lying in our "Love Nest." -submitted by Nichole

Car full of balloons
I rented a helium tank from a local party store and bought a bag of balloons. My girlfriend was at college that day and I have a key to her car. I stuffed her car completely with helium filled balloons with love messages written on each one. Then I tied another two dozens balloons to her bumpers and mirrors with ribbons. When class let out, everyone watched her go to her car and open the door. All the balloons came floating out. I watched from a distance and took pictures of the balloons floating off into the sky so she could remember the moment. -submitted by Lance

Chalk and Bubbles
My boyfriend and I sometimes "take turns" choosing what to do when we have a day together. One day it was my turn to decide and as we drove around I still didn't know what to do. As we were passing a toy store I made him go in, he though I was being silly but agreed. I bought 2 bottles of bubbles and a bucket of sidewalk chalk that came to around $5. We drove to a lake in the area and sat by the water blowing bubbles and writing fun things on the paths. It brought out the kids in both of us and we had a blast. The best part was we didn't use nearly all of it and we kept them in his car occasionally bringing them out when we didn't know what else to do. -submitted by Kira

Coffee and games
I like to take dates to a certain coffee house near my house. I generally have no money, so when I get some, I don't like spending it too often, but I am one that likes to take guys out on dates. What I do is go to this certain coffee house with the guy, buy us coffee and dessert and spend about 4 hours there playing Monopoly. The coffee house provides lots of game boards. However, I'm sure others wouldn't mind if you bring your own. It's always a fun activity to do and brings out the competitiveness in me! Guys always love seeing that side. If you don't want to take a board game to a coffee house, try a deck of cards, and teach each other games. -submitted by AthenaMari

Dance Under the Stars
We love to dance. And although going to fancy dances and sweeping across floors while others just watch is fun, the best dances are at night under the stars. You'll be amazed how little the
music means when all you dance to is the beating of your heart.

Dining Within
For my husband and I, Valentine's is about being creative, not spending money. This Valentine's Day he won't get off work until 8 p.m., so I will get home several hours before he will. Our dining area is open to the living room and we have tapestries on our walls. I'm going to use these tapestries to divide the room into smaller rooms, with the dining room being a cozy little restaurant and the living room a "ballroom." When he comes home, he will walk in and see a sign with his suit hanging there telling him to go change clothes (he will not have seen me yet). When he comes out of the bedroom, the sign will now say "Please Wait to Be Seated." I will then come out and pretend to be the waitress and "seat him" at his "booth." The table will already be set up with candles and food and there will be jazz
music playing. One of our favorite restaurants is Olive Garden and I found some copycat recipes for his favorite dish there and for the breadsticks. After we've eaten we will go into the "ballroom" for dancing. I think this is a very romantic, thoughtful idea and the only thing it costs is the ingredients, which I don't count because everybody's got to eat! -submitted by Lynn

Drive-In Movie at Home
My husband and I have been together for 10 years. For one of our first Valentine’s Days together, I didn't have any money. So, I got a large refrigerator box and painted it red, laid it on its side and cut a side out. I made a heart shaped steering wheel, license plates that read, "lovebug", cardboard wheels, headlights, etc, put it in the living room and rented a movie for us to watch. We both barely fit in the box but we squeezed in (all for the better) and ate popcorn and watched our movie! We had to get rid of the box, but he still has the steering wheel and plates! It was silly but fun! -submitted by Kate

Kiss 'n Snap

Kiss 'n Snap

Idea:
Spend the day getting to know each other and your lips better! Choose 9 or more scenic places you'd love to kiss your partner. Get a camera and a friend. Then, visit each place you want to kiss at. When you get there, have your friend take pictures of you and your partner kissing each other. Have your pictures developed and create either a memory photo album or have the pictures framed as a kissing collage.

Additional Romantic Touches:

Make it a double date with friends and take turns taking pictures of each other.

Bring along a picnic lunch to share with your partner when you're done!

Create a love journal. Paste each picture to a single page in a blank journal. Underneath each picture write a reason why you love your partner or share a special poem or quote.

If you're in a long distance Relationship, take pictures of you blowing kisses to your partner and make the love journal idea above.

Make this an ongoing tradition. Every time you visit a new place or go somewhere new, make sure to get a picture of you both kissing. Add each entry to memory photo album and soon you'll have a very romantic keepsake
